Zimbabwe got off to a strong start with both the openers Solomon Mire and Hamilton Masakadza ensuring the side do not lose any wickets. The duo started slow but kept their wickets safe until the final ball of the powerplay. Nuwan Pradeep sent Masakadza packing and his wickets opened the floodgates of wickets.

1215 hrs IST: WICKET! Pradeep gets the breakthrough. Masakadza tries to break the shackles, goes for a pull but mistimes it to the fielder at mid-on. Easy catch. ZIM  44/1 after 10 overs.
1210 hrs IST: 10 overs are gone and Zimbabwe are 45 without any wicket. The run rate is low but the side will not worry about that for now as they have not lost a single wicket and both the openers are still in the middle after the first powerplay. Good start.
